City Hike by Jean JNESS Nerestant

This leg of the creative journey has me applying inking techniques that I see in old political comic strips. It's something to be said about modern content displayed in an old genre. This piece is entitled, "City Hike". It's done in India ink, Papermate Flair M pen and alcohol marker (grey tones).

Quartet by JNESS

This was a challenge from an art book my son recieved. So I did my loosely sketched representation of the word "Quartet". I highly recommend illustration challenges to all artists, photographers and writers. A quick sketch finished in black ink.

Swan By JNESS

New Art entitled Swan by Jness Art... It was done using a Medium Paper Mate Flair black felt tip pen. India ink is the most recognized inking tool, but the Paper Mate Flair was my first inking weapon of choice so quite often I go back to using it. I can accomplish a nice range of line weights. Let me hear your thoughts on this one... www.jnessgraphics.com

Beauty Parlor by JNESS

Beauty Salon by JNESS
Beauty Salon by JNESS
This is one of those illustrations that I sole intention was  to simply reflect a real life event. Nothing fantastic like a Superhero flying through the air in a single bound. Just beautiful plus size women at peace in one of their natural habitats... The beauty salon, doing what they want to do to accomplish the look they have in mind. I published this one on facebook and the response was great. I am on the right track with pieces like this. I think I will make this one available in the store once I release the color version s, #art, #artoftheday, #BBW, #bbw #plussize #curvy #women #divas #jness #shopping #jnessgraphics, #digital, #plussizefashion, #plussizefashion #plussize #ink

She's A Hero

Once again as my faithful visitors know I love comic books and superheroes. However as life would have it I no longer have time to sit and enjoy reading comicbooks. Fortunately I am able to revisit the genre by drawing BBW Superheroes . This is my way of adding positive plus size art to the conversation. In today's post I draw Elektra, Invisible Girl, Ms. Marvel, and Batgirl in this #dccomics, #marvelcomics mashup. www.jnessgraphics.com
