Cherishing A Plus Size Queen by JNESS
This JNESS illustration called, Cherish" represents the time two people share with each other, stealing moments that allow them to forget about the stresses and the challenges of life. The man is holding his big beautiful girl as close as he can while leaving the world behind.
This peice was created using alcohol based markers for colors and blends, ink for outlines and definition, and highlights are done in color pencil.

Curvacious Queens Logo by JNESS
This is one of my most enjoyable clients because she gives
me a glimpse of her vision, walks away allowing her trust in my abilities and
sense of design to accomplish what she wants. As a long running client I am no
stranger to her brand or her style. I have illustrated book covers, icons and
logos for her various projects. We have proven to be a great pairing
creatively. During our meeting about the Curvacious Queens project the client
admitted that the logo’s end use was still undecided. Fashion was a big
possibility, so keeping that in mind I set out illustrate something that
represented independent women on a stylish journey, hence the convertible.

Latina Gordita BBW by JNESS
The concept was developed in pencil sketch. Once I was satisfied with the sketch I inked the piece, then erased all sketch lines. I use a 3B pencil, they give me a nice dark line that is not difficult to erase. This helpful especially since I put down multiple sketch lines.
I then take the clean inked piece, scan it in, then redraw the piece in the vector format. Here I add color shading and highlights to get the look I am after.
